Elite Utah North is your alternative to public, traditional, standardized learning. As a micro school we have a homeschool feel with the flexibility that allows our students and families to approach education with confidence and peace! We are parent advocates and collaborators with them! If you've always wanted to homeschool your children but aren't able to, we gotchu. This is the place.

Who We Are
Elite Performance was founded by parent advocates who wanted to create a homeschool alternative for students and athletes who thrive best outside the standardized learning space.
Our educators and coaches are highly experienced and passionate about our unique, holistic, student-focused approach.
Our main strategy is rooted in collaboration. We support parental/guardian efforts at home with a classroom environment that prioritizes a balance of physical, intellectual and emotional wellness. We give student athletes the tools and the space to be highly engaged in their own education. Our small student-to-teacher ratio allows us to maintain regular, open communication with our students and their support systems.
Our schedules and curriculum are tailored to varied learning styles.

Curriculum
Our comprehensive curriculum encourages student-led exploration, critical thinking, college and career readiness, and responsible civic engagement. Every child’s learning journey is unique, so their curriculum emphasis and pacing should be, too. Regardless, every part of our curriculum promotes discipline, mental fortitude, and self-belief.
We utilize a range of resources to build curriculum options including Studies Weekly, Empower, Khan Academy, Junior Achievement (a two-time Nobel Prize-winning program), and more. All are carefully vetted by our certified teachers. Parents may also request customized curriculum options for their child.

F7 sums me up: Faith, Family, Food, Fitness, Finance, Fashion & Freedom (and audiobooks, but they didn’t quite fit!). A Utah transplant, I was born and raised in Southern California by wonderful parents and a village like no other. After college and a church mission overseas, I became a stay-at-home working mom—juggling four amazing kids and graveyard shifts across industries to avoid daycare.
I proudly supported my brilliant husband Levi through his education and career as an electronics engineer for the Department of Defense.
With two decades in finance, education, and coaching—and through earnest prayer—it’s finally my turn! We’re thrilled to open our own microschool and athletic academy. 💪🏽📚
Teaching, especially young learners and youth, is my passion. Empowering the next generation with skills to become their best selves fuels my purpose.
At Elite Layton, our mission is clear: build strong leaders, cultivate problem solvers and critical thinkers, and foster self-reliance. We’re committed to creating an environment where students and athletes grow in confidence and thrive—nurturing the whole human: mind, body, and spirit. Customized learning plus personalized experiences equals a genuine desire to show up and succeed.

LORI CARRIGAN
DIRECTER OF OPERATIONS
Before stepping into education, I spent 10 years working as a registered nurse, which gave me a strong foundation in care, organization, and problem-solving.
I’m also a proud mom of five and have volunteered in schools for over 15 years. Supporting students and families has always been a big part of my life, and I love helping create environments where kids can grow academically, emotionally, and socially.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, anything volleyball-related, hiking, and gardening. I’m passionate about building community and encouraging a love of learning in everything I do.
